Information pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (“GDPR Regulation”) and pursuant to Section 19 of Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data as amended (“Act on Personal Data Protection”).

Purpose of Data Processing

Personal data are processed for the following purposes:

1. Performance of a contract
Personal data are processed for the conclusion and performance of a contract for the lease of sports equipment (creation of a reservation for the “Rental of Ski, Snowboarding and Ski Mountaineering Equipment” service), including communication and management of orders. Processing occurs during contract negotiation and for the duration of the contractual relationship.

2. Legitimate interest of the Controller
Personal data may continue to be processed after termination of the contractual relationship for the purposes of asserting or defending legal claims.

3. Fulfillment of legal obligations
Personal data are processed in accordance with legal obligations related to accounting and taxation. Accounting documents are retained for a period of 10 years from the year following the contract conclusion pursuant to Act No. 563/1991 Coll. on Accounting.

No consent of the data subject is required for the above-mentioned processing.

Scope of Data Processing

The Controller processes personal data of its customers to the extent necessary for contract performance, including:

  • title, first name, surname

  • date of birth

  • permanent residence address

  • ID card / passport number

  • telephone number

  • email address

The Controller obtains personal data directly from the data subjects.

Data Retention Period

Personal data are stored only for the period necessary to fulfill the purpose of processing, legal obligations, and until full settlement of obligations towards the Controller. Retention may be extended where required by law (e.g. 10-year accounting retention period).

Data Recipients

Personal data may be provided to third parties in cases required by law or for the assertion of legal claims (e.g. legal representatives, courts, law enforcement authorities, tax authorities and other entities as required by law).

Rights of the Data Subject

Data subjects have the following rights under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR and Sections 21 to 29 of the Act:

  • Right to access personal data

  • Right to rectification

  • Right to deletion (where lawful)

  • Right to restriction of processing

  • Right to object to processing

  • Right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic
